Mumbai University MMS Admission Eligibility Criteria 2021

The Higher Education Department sets guidelines for MMS admission eligibility criteria for students to be admitted. This is on top of the known fact that the selection of the best candidates for college is a long and tedious process. Generally, admission eligibility includes age restrictions, aggregate scores, and caste categories (which can include Male/Female or non-Caste).

Follow the details to help you understand the Eligibility Criteria to Join MMS Course at IIBM, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, or any other college.

PASSING SCORE

A minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average (45% in the case of reserved category students and persons with disabilities from Maharashtra only) is required in graduation to clear minimum MMS Admission Eligibility.

  • According to the university from which the candidate is passing the qualifying examination, aggregate marks refer to the total marks earned in classes on which class declarations are made.
  • Grading process: The grading system for candidates who receive grades or CGPA instead of marks will be converted based on the process certified by the University/institution where the candidate has earned a bachelor’s degree.
  • Rounding off to two decimal places shall be used when calculating the marks percentage.

RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY

In any Bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

APPEARING FINAL YEAR DEGREE

Appeared* for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree to be awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

(or)

A candidate for any Bachelor’s degree from one or more of the Universities recognized by the Universities Grants Commission or the Association of Indian Universities may appear for the final examination of their degree.

PROVISIONAL ADMISSION 

Applicants can be considered for provisional MMS admission eligibility after passing the Degree exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate* or an equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates from backward classes and persons with disabilities residing in Maharashtra only).

  •  Must hold, or be eligible to receive, a bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission or the Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with a minimum of 50% in the aggregate, or it’s equivalent;
  •  Any other criteria that appropriate authorities may declare from time to time.

What is the fee structure of MMS in Mumbai?

The fee structure for the course is yet to be announced. You can contact the college IIBM INDIRA for more details. The fee for MMS is approx. Rs.1,70,000 per annum.

What is the scope of MMS?

In year two, students are given the option of studying a specialization, which in most cases is Marketing, Sales, Human Resource Management, Operations, or  Finance. Is MMS better than PGDM?

PGDM is an abbreviation of Post Graduate Diploma in Management, which is a one-year full-time program that is equivalent to an MBA degree. Your choice of PGDM or MBA will depend on your career goals.
To get to the best management institutes it’s important to have a good score in the CAT exam. MMS stands for Master of Management Studies and is a two-year program.
